Until recently, many businesses, even those within the agricultural industry, have treated climate-smart agriculture as a sustainability concept: something for farmers and environmental advocates to worry about. What they often miss is how directly it affects their own profitability. This white paper paints the full picture for agro-commodity supply chain players helping them visualize how climate-smart agriculture shapes business outcomes, and why it has become a core commercial imperative that belongs at the heart of every agribusiness strategy.

Orange Cocoa is our sustainability framework dedicated to building a more productive, climate-resilient, and sustainable cocoa sector. Through farmer-focused initiatives such as seedling distribution, agroforestry, and capacity building, we are strengthening cocoa farming communities and securing the future of our supply chain.

We continued to showcase our commitment to driving impactful change in the people, environment and communities feeding our supply chain. In the 2023/2024 season, we successfully trained and supported over 4000 farmers with modern inputs, provided clean water to 15 rural communities serving over 20,000 residents, built modern classroom blocks in two schools, and nurtured the future of our industry through several other sustainability programs. Our impact goes far beyond the cocoa, cashews, and sesame we trade. This report captures how we are empowering farmers and strengthening communities.
